| I'm an artist from
Holland and have a passion for giving a message through my art. I paint
in a post-impressionistic style using vivid colors, thick application of
paint, distinctive, vibrant brushstrokes, real-life subject matter and
use of unnatural arbitrary color. The subject matter is inspired by
Christian symbolism in which I try to represent the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. I like to use parts of old masters paintings and combine them into one new painting that can depict actual events of the Bible, depict events of Christian life, or communicate the message of Scripture in a visual form. My work for most of my life was in organizing pleasure travel from my travel agencies. Since I have traveled extensively, my passion is to the present beauty I have witnessed that surrounds us everywhere. I love color contrast and try to present this in my work. I am self educated in oil painting with the direction of David Leffel. My encouragement comes from impressionists Monet, Renoir, just to mention a few. My works are for your pleasure; I hope you enjoy them as much as I did creating them.
